After an open call  Center for Sprogteknologi (CST), was selected as ELRA's Validation Centre for Written Language Resources (WLR) which encompasses both Lexica and Corpora.  The Validation Centre, which was established in November 2002, has the following tasks:
 

• Develop methodologies for WLR validation and Quick Quality Checks
  
• Carry out full validations and Quick Quality Checks of existing WLR in ELRA's catalogue
  
• Quality standards for WLR

To ensure a broad enough range of expertise in both the different types of resources and the languages they represent, a nucleus of a network of experts who can participate in validations has been formed.
